We partnered with Indigital, a Tokyo-based digital transformation company, to design, develop, and deploy a Medical AI Chatbot-an intelligent, real-time assistant built to support pet owners and caregivers with veterinary medical information.

To build an intuitive, scalable, and responsive AI chatbot that empowers pet owners and veterinary caregivers with on-demand access to trusted medical information. The goal was to reduce misinformation, provide timely support, and enhance decision-making in pet healthcare.

A Medical Chatbot Built for Accurate Veterinary Guidance

Indigital aimed to extend its digital innovation efforts into the veterinary sector by creating a medical chatbot that could assist users with veterinary drug usage and healthcare best practices for animals. The chatbot needed to handle unstructured data, understand user queries contextually, and deliver precise, real-time responses-ensuring a reliable, user-centric experience.

What we did
An AI-powered veterinary chatbot using large language models, word embeddings, and semantic search to deliver accurate, context-aware medical information.

Data Processing Pipeline: Designed a system to ingest complex PDF documents containing veterinary knowledge, including text, tables, and mixed-format data.
Text Extraction and Embedding: Extracted text was converted into vector embeddings and stored in Chroma DB, enabling efficient semantic search.
User Query Flow: Upon receiving a query, the chatbot uses Llama Index to retrieve relevant documents from Chroma DB and generate a tailored response using GPT-4.
End-to-End Deployment: Integrated the backend logic into a user-friendly ReactJS frontend with a Python Flask backend, delivering a seamless user experience.
